Player Approval Site System – Independent Player Verification
Welcome to the S.W.A.T. P.A.S.S. (Player Approval Site System), our independent player verification system designed to support responsible airsoft retailers in establishing legitimate airsoft defences under the Violent Crime Reduction Act 2006.
S.W.A.T. operates airsoft venues across the North West of the United Kingdom and has maintained its own independent player verification arrangements since 2006.
Our P.A.S.S. system provides a transparent and accountable method of confirming that registered players have satisfied our membership, identification and qualifying attendance requirements.
Retailer Verification
This website enables retailers to verify players who are registered members of S.W.A.T. Airsoft and have successfully completed the P.A.S.S. approval process.
The verification system provides access to relevant information, including:
- Player verification records – Confirmation of approved P.A.S.S. members.
- Approval dates – The dates on which players satisfied our verification requirements.
- Membership status – Confirmation of current player registration and approval.
- Insurance documentation – Details of our relevant airsoft venue insurance arrangements.
- Independent verification – The ability for retailers to contact S.W.A.T. directly should additional confirmation be required.
Our records are maintained to assist retailers in conducting their own due diligence when considering the lawful supply of realistic imitation firearms (RIFs).
P.A.S.S. approval provides supporting evidence of a player's qualifying airsoft activities. The responsibility for establishing the applicable statutory defence remains with the retailer.
Independent, Transparent and Free
Unlike subscription-based verification arrangements, S.W.A.T. membership and P.A.S.S. registration are provided completely free of charge, subject to our normal eligibility and attendance requirements.
We believe that legitimate participation in airsoft activities, supported by proper identification and documented attendance, should form the foundation of player verification rather than the payment of registration fees.

We welcome enquiries from retailers, players and other interested parties regarding the operation of our P.A.S.S. system.
